The closing ceremony of the sports tournament marking the 50th anniversary of the Banco de Moçambique and the 45th anniversary of the Metical took place last Saturday (7 June) at the Bank’s Sports Complex in Matutuíne.

Mirrored across all provincial capitals, the event featured award ceremonies in football, futsal, basketball, volleyball, lawn and table tennis, chess, darts, netball, swimming, and billiards, each discipline marked by strong competitive spirit and a high level of fair play among participants.

The tournament began in February this year and brought together 62 partner institutions from both the public and private sectors, involving over 4,000 athletes and staff members.
